Baby deer? Tiny alien? Elegant noodle?

Nope, it’s all Gravy, baby! (Sorry I had to. 😂)

This sweet greyhound pup named Gravy had me absolutely stunned from the moment we stepped into the meadow at Rocky Mountain National Park. Those icy eyes, those impossibly long legs, that little face peeking out from the grass… I mean, can you even?! 🩵

One of my favorite parts of photographing puppies is getting to freeze this in-between stage forever. They’re only this goofy and curious and gangly for such a short window, and before you know it, you’re looking back at photos wondering where that little weirdo went. 🥹

This is why I’ll never get tired of photographing dogs. Every single one brings something different to the frame. The serious stare. The gentle soul. The one barely tolerating sitting still for two seconds. 😆

And years from now, these photos become so much more than “just pictures.” They become proof of this season of life, exactly as it was.
