2. There are approximately 85 million pet dogs in the U.S. and 74 million pet cats.
3. The U.S. has the highest dog population in the world.
4. And the highest cat population.
5. 97 percent of owners view their pets as part of the family (we’re not sure what’s wrong with the other 3 percent.)
