Hobbytown Cincinnati RC Raceway

It's time to get back to doing race reports. We have been slacking and it's going to stop. We will start with the most recent Friday night Mini's and then go back and catch up with some of the other races.

Friday night was not expected to be a very large turnout because of the wonderful weather and an 1/8 scale race Saturday at Ellis Performance Raceway that many of our regular racers were planning on attending. Even with that working against us, we ended up with a fun night and some close racing. We ran Pro Stock Mini-T, Pro Stock Mini-B, SCT Open and 4x4 buggy. A couple of the Juniors ran in Pro Stock and raced very respectfully, for the most part.

All together there were 23 entries, 14 drivers. 1 heat of Mini-T, Mini-B and Mini 4x4 with 2 heats of Mini SCT. Many of the SCT drivers were getting ready for the start of the Mini Truck series next week.

Racing was close, in one round of SCT and one round of 4x4 all drivers finished on the same lap keeping the qualifying within a few seconds across the group.

Because of the light turnout and only 5 heats per round, we were able to run 3 rounds of qualifying plus mains and be finished by 10:30. We come to race and the more races the better.

Next week starts the Mini Truck Series. Look for a post later today explaining the format. It is also the awards banquette for the 2026 points series. LaRosa's Pizza will be provided for the racers.
