One of my favorite days of the year is coming up in little over a week, Record Store Day!!! And if you know what that is then you know it’s a full experience. Waking up SUPER early to try and get to your favorite record store to get a good spot in line to make sure you can hopefully secure the titles you want. Sure it can be frustrating because sometimes you won’t always get everything you want because moat titles are limited. But it’s that much more exciting when you do come out with some of the ones you wanted. I’m incredibly excited to hopefully snag these titles and look forward to visiting my favorite record store, Karma Records. Are you planning on partaking in RSD!? What titles are you after!?

So I’ve been incredibly busy the past few weeks I never got around to posting about Horrorhound Weekend 2 weeks ago. I gotta say, this was easily the BIGGEST show to date. It was the busiest Friday I’ve ever seen and Saturday was just as insane. So excited I finally got to meet Gaylen Ross and Scott Reiniger from Dawn of the Dead and added them to my poster. They were incredible human beings. Scott especially was very interested in talking. Not pictured, but I also met the legendary Tom Atkins for the 3rd time. Any time he comes I try my best to talk to him because you just never know these days. He looks great for his age that’s for sure and crazy to think he drives there himself. Also cool that was there and picked up the latest Tales of a Halloween Night which was signed by John Carpenter and which was really cool to meet and talk to her about the comics. Also paid my annual visit to to try the newest beers, including the convention exclusive Eye Scream which was a strawberry ice cream ale which was really unique. Hung out after hours for once to check out the music acts. Which was and . Damn good time! I ended up not doing a walkthrough video this time due to the fact that most of my walkthroughs are generally about the same. So overall, the weekend was insane but one of the best shows in recent years. 12 years now and looking forward to the next!

I know one thing’s for sure, whether you liked it or not, Scream 7 is going to be the buzz of the weekend. I was super excited to attend one of the fan event screenings at the AMC in Greenwood. Had to snap a picture of the knife standee and iMAX poster. Managed to grab a few of the LTD prints. Wasn’t planning on getting any of the merch, until I saw it in person. That popcorn tin was sick and the cup with topper was nifty as well so I went with those. Well worth the money. Had an absolute blast with the film. It was one of the best theater experiences I’ve ever had. Everyone was laughing, screaming and having a great time which I enjoyed. The verdict has been extremely mixed but I digress I absolutely loved it. The film oozed with nostalgia callbacks, but not to where it relied on them. This Ghost Face was a different breed and honestly one of the most intense and brutal ones of the franchise. The kill sequences were also some of the most gnarly in the franchise. It also had a lot of really cool shots that I appreciated. The term “absolute cinema” came to mind. I loved the idea of watching Sidney dealing with being a parent to a teenager and tying her damnedest to keep her from her past, but we all knew how that would end up. Lots of surprises, lots of laughs and lots of blood. I had a few gripes but those didn’t ruin the movie for me. If you’re a Scream fan and are on the fence, I encourage you to make your own judgement. See the movie, have your opinions. Just have a good time. People seem to lack that these days when going to the theater.
