📢What You Want to Know Wednesday!📢

Happy 2026! Let's add getting your dog(s) licensed to your New Years resolution list 😉

📃Dog Licensing is a public safety tool that helps protect you, your dog and the community.

📃Licensing helps us keep track of Rabies vaccines (required by law). Rabies is a disease that is transmitable to humans and is fatal. This means we take licensing seriously!

📃Avoid getting ticketed by Animal Control and do the responsible thing. Get your dog licensed today!

This weeks information is brought to you by our office cat Mixon!

🐾Community Cats in Chico 🐾
Did you know that not all outdoor cats are lost? Most are what we would consider community cats — they live outdoors as part of our neighborhoods and a lot of them have loving owners and families that provide care regularly.

💛 If a cat looks healthy, it’s best to let it be — it is likely near by it's home and very familiar with its surroundings.

🐱 Chico Animal Control does not pick up or remove healthy stray cats. See a cat that is severely sick/ill, injured or underage (
