Living in a patriarchy during a global pandemic is especially hard for those who are stuck at home right now with their abusers. For those who need it, here’s some advice from Battered Women’s Support Services:

“While people are encouraged to stay at home, you may feel isolated from your friends and family. Even if you are isolated, try to maintain social connections online or over the phone, if it is safe to do so, and try to stick to your daily routines as much as possible. If you need to plan around leaving, call our crisis line (604-687-1867) during a safe time, text 604-652-1867, or send us an email at [email protected]
