Considering a White Wedding?

Four years ago today, we received a request from a fan to come and play while he proposed to his fiancée.
Since COVID was still in full swing, the venue chosen was Rainbow Beach, planning was meticulous and every detail planned to make it simple but sincere. It was meant to be a shared experience they would have for the rest of their lives.
Billy was her absolute favorite artist and he knew having us play would seal the deal, so how could we refuse?

We decided to do it as a bit of an undercover operation just my guitarist and I would be already on the beach, pretending to be busking. At just the right moment, our guitarist and I would fade into White Wedding (what else?)
Softly at first, then gradually increasing volume until she had eventually realized we weren’t just there by chance. 😀
I’m sure, given the effort he put in to make that moment a memorable experience, you can guess her answer. 🤣♥️😎
We closed with an acoustic version of Rebel Yell and all danced and sang together until just before sundown.

To this day, they still check in with us on occasion, and I’m extremely happy to say not only are they still happily married, they have recently added a brand new future Billy Idol fan to the family!!
This performance remains in our top 3 most memorable of all time.

Spending an absolutely beautiful evening on the beach dancing and singing with fans, not to mention having no equipment to worry about other than Davis’ acoustic and my best whiplash smile. 😏
