All unsigned documents to be notarized must be sent via email to [email protected]
Documents will be uploaded to the SIGNiX Remote Online Notarization program and formatted for remote signatures. An email will be generated by SIGNiX and sent to the signer(s). All signers must have a valid email address, a computer/laptop, and a smartphone with web camera capabilities. All signers must be physically in the state of Illinois. All signers must have valid photo identification issued by a government authority with a sample of their signature. Signer(s) should be in a room without shadows or obstructions to the web camera. Signer(s) should be alone in the room (if one party to a document, only one person should be in the room; if three parties to a document, there should be only three persons in the room). Signer(s) must be able to interact with the notary without coaching or assistance. Signer(s) must be willing to enter their Social Security Number and answer a Knowledge-Based Assessment based on their personal electronic record. No personal data is captured or saved by the Notary Public or SIGNiX program. Failure to meet the requirements of this assessment will result in the inability to complete the notarization(s).
