Being in your presence always had the warmth of a mother's love. You helped cultivate my musical sensibilities. You took me on dance floor journeys like no other could. You taugh me life lessons in areas that I never knew I would need later in life. You help me develop my skillsets, and cultuvate my craft in this life journey with music. You were loving, gentle, and kind but could cut one kindly without saying a word. Tonight, I have the opportunity to honor you, and play at an event curated in your so higly deserved honor. I wish to make you proud, for in so many ways, I am a product of you. I miss you more than my heart can handle at times. I love you, and celebrate you in my soul every day.
