Recently I had the opportunity to travel to Norman, Oklahoma to meet the team of researchers behind the most advanced weather radar in the world. It’s a fully digital, phased array radar that is revolutionizing the way we see the sky. And these advancements couldn’t come at a better time with the current National Weather Service radars in need of a major upgrade in the next 10-15 years. It’s a privilege to be the first meteorologist in the country to cover this story in this way and on this stage.
