Right-leaners unanimously called the No Kings protests hypocritical. Then they rated their left-leaning partners' defenses of those protests as reasonable nearly 95% of the time.
Last month, Sandboxers discussed the No Kings movement. Every right-leaning Sandboxer agreed with an assertion that called the protests one-sided, and many said the protests were unnecessary or stupid. Unspurprisingly, about 70% of left-leaners disagreed that the protests are unprincipled. But something unexpected happened in the conversations themselves: despite dismissing the protests as a funded, partisan farce, right-leaners took the left's arguments seriously at a remarkably high rate.
