Shorts: Manifestation

Shorts Program | 77 mins

Whether it’s building a life together or dismantling one, this trans femme shorts program brings various relationships with family and friends into the spotlight to show what we do for love. REARVIEW is a heartfelt and intimate portrayal of the relationship of Wit and Regina, seen through moments they share in the car. CLOSE UP is an authentic documentary that follows young Moses as they discuss s*x, love, and life in New York City. In DILATING FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS, a black trans woman tries to dilate to hook-up IRL with her online boyfriend in this quirky comedy. In WHERE IS THE FRIEND’S HOME?, two friends share private moments and break silences, seeking to confront unspoken desires. In HONEY & MILK, Grayson and Alice spend a final weekend together to dismantle their domestic life as Grayson embarks on a journey of gender expansion. THE SKETCH is a documentary on art and transgender bodies that mixes drawn art (sketches, scribbling, watercolor paintings) with live footage in a drawing class, which introduces a great discussion on how a body is "drawn" and perceived by others. In THAT’S FAMILY, Lynne and Gloria’s "special date night" is thrown for a loop when dad drops in unexpectedly with some surprising news.
