Established in 2011, The Small Sports™ is the creation of author Matthew Damman and illustrator Patty Eisenbraun. It all began as Matthew watched endless cartoons and read dozens of books to his then 13-month old son and three year old daughter. Exciting news everyone! Our children's book, "The Small Sports Go for the Goal," was reviewed by none other than Julie Foudy!
As a former USWNT soccer player and current analyst, Julie Foudy knows a thing or two about sports and what it takes to succeed. I am honored and humbled that she took the time to read and review my book.
"The Small Sports Go for the Goal" is part of a fun and educational series of children's books that introduces young readers to the joys and benefits of sports. In this book, the characters work together to learn the fundamentals of soccer and the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
I believe that sports can teach valuable life lessons and help children develop important skills like empathy, perseverance, and leadership. It's my hope that "The Small Sports Go for the Goal" will inspire children to get active, have fun, and learn important lessons along the way.
