Magnets are seriously fun! 🧲 Students tested materials, built magnetic fishing games, and even made paperclips β€œfloat” as they explored attraction, repulsion, and magnetic force at a distance. From north and south poles to hands-on mazes, the discoveries kept coming!

πŸ” Last Sunday, our Young Science Explorers enjoyed a scavenger hunt in Park 538 on the corner of Kedzie and Touhy. Students walked around the park, carefully observing and listening to different birds that are native to Chicago and our neighborhood πŸ¦πŸ‘€ They were excited to hear bird calls and try to spot them in the trees. Along the way, they also discovered many different types of plants and learned about the variety of species that grow in our local environment 🌱🌼

A huge thank you to Adina Mayer of JNDC for leading this fun and educational adventure!
