Andrew David has been singing since 4 years old. Music had always been an integral part of his life. It wasn't until a standing ovation when he performed in his high school talent show, that Andrew realized exactly how powerful of a gift he possessed. He attended Columbia College Chicago for two years pursuing a B.A. In 2012, Andrew took a semester off to decide I he had chosen the right path. One
semester turned into a complete withdrawal from the program as Andrew decided to go back to the drawing board on how to ignite a career in the music industry. His dream, though deferred, still never died. Instead of moving fully back to indulge in his hometown of Bourbonnais, IL, Andrew purchased a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Performer's permit. He then began driving back downtown to sing on the underground train platforms of the CTA subways. Singing in the subway platforms helped Andrew gain the exposure he needed to keep moving forward in music. In doing so, he garnered attention from a video gone viral over Summer 2017, when a page called "They Have the Range', shared a clip of him singing "Ready For Love" by India Arie standing on the train platform of the Lake stop on the Red Line. Towards the end of Summer, Andrew applied for and received his Street Performer's License through the City of Chicago and made the leap from underground subways up to the corner's of Downtown Chicago's Magnificent Mile. There, Andrew was seen by a co-host of ABC 7 Chicago's Windy City Live,, who was passing by and a few weeks later Andrew was a featured contestant on their Chicago Idol episode. Andrew has since been featured on Steve Harvey's "Must See" segment as well as had shout outs and acknowledgements from big names in the music industry such as international pop star Sam Smith and Chicago native Jennifer Hudson. Andrew has since been working on a numerous array of things to continue furthering his career in music and looks forward to a full-fledged breakthrough into the music industry sooner than he ever thought possible.
