I really didn't want to get up for this and that was my why. Days like these, I take baby steps.

Don't look too far ahead. Just one step at a time until you can mentally take on more. Stand in each step, each moment fully present. Move forward. Repeat until you've accomplished what you say it to do.

What a day!!!! I most certainly didn't want to go out for this run, but I did and it's done. Today, I experienced some moments of negativity and stamped it with DENIED. The only negative I'm accepting today are negative splits.

It's been a long time...I hope you all have been safe and well.

WHATEVER you're doing - give it everything you've got!
6 years later
110 runners
3 pacers for my group (Alan, Bob and Steve)
26.2 miles, 4+ hours and 2566 calories = ✅
High 86°
Air Pollution High - level 65
49592 steps and this watch should know better not to request that I move.

Well, another marathon done! All praise is due to God!
I put some more miles on these legs today. It's been six years since I've run such a race. Let's see, I don't know exactly how many marathons it's been, but definitely over ten. I told the pacer over 20, but I lumped in the half marathons and I refuse to take one step downstairs to confirm. :-)

It's started out warm and ended up hot. I was out there with the best of the best, today and I can say I did my best. Between Mile 16 and 17, my right IT band decided to tighten up. With just under 10 miles to go, I had to adapt and reassess. Easy decision - Operation...FINISH. Goal was a wash, so just make it to the finish line still able to breathe, walk on my own, smile and speak coherently. Two out of four not to bad. With my IT band showing out, I Walked/Ran, and I made it to the finish.

It was a rough day. There were some people laid out on the course needing medical help. Tough to witness, but thankfully they received the attention needed. Praying for their full recovery.

Great job LaShaun James and Molly Mbuthia !!!!!! We did the darn thing out there today!
