Reading up on some Husserl I come to discover an intention to use/find the same 4-fold pattern for all sub-psychologistic analyses. The most striking formulation of this pattern I find on page 156 of his Logical Investigations: "(...)[A]n essentially single concept runs continuously: in all cases, whether we intuit in perceptual, fancying or remembering fashion, or whether we think in empirical and logico-mathematical forms, an intending, or reference (Vermeinen) is present, that aims at an object, a consciousness is present that is the consciousness of this object."

This light on the nature of communication, not as something that happens between people, but as a process of its own, is in line with the Luhmannian notion of communication. It has been of wild interest to most scientists for decades now, who follow the Science and Technology Studies (STS) and Latours work. The application to daily life, however, is still in its infancy.
