CHICAGO MAN CHARGED AFTER POLICE SAY HE ROBBED POKÉMON CARD SELLERS AT GUNPOINT

A Chicago man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he arranged Facebook Marketplace meetups to rob people selling Pokémon cards. Police said five robberies happened in March in the Gage Park neighborhood. The suspect was arrested Tuesday and is scheduled for a detention hearing.

CHILD NEARLY KIDNAPPED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT ON CHICAGO’S NORTH SIDE: WITNESSES STEP IN, SUSPECT RUNS

Chicago police are investigating an attempted child luring reported Saturday around 9:47 a.m. near Wrightwood and North Clark Street in the Park West neighborhood. Police say a man attempted to lure a minor before witnesses stepped in, causing the suspect to flee. No injuries were reported. The suspect was described as wearing a white baseball cap, sunglasses, a blue checkered button-down shirt, tan shorts, and black gym shoes with white soles.

La Policía de Chicago está investigando un intento de atraer a un menor que ocurrió el sábado alrededor de las 9:47 de la mañana cerca de Wrightwood y North Clark Street en el vecindario de Park West. Según la policía, un hombre intentó atraer al menor, pero varios testigos intervinieron y el sospechoso huyó. No se reportaron heridos. ELMHURST STUDENT FOUND DEAD IN BARCELONA DURING SPRING BREAK VISIT, LAST SEEN OUTSIDE OF A NIGHTCLUB

James “Jimmy” Gracey, a 20-year-old University of Alabama student from Elmhurst, was found dead in the water near a Barcelona beach after going missing during a spring break trip. Authorities said he was last seen around 3 a.m. after becoming separated from friends outside the Shoko nightclub. His wallet was later found in the water nearby. Police say the investigation remains ongoing and a cause of death has not been announced. (ABC7 Chicago)
