nancial, physical and mental wealth and stability and having a voice in what the future holds for us and our children. Welfare, unemployment and other public assistance are programs which take away our freedom and make most of us lazy and unproductive to ourselves or anyone else. It takes away our right to live a rewarding life and leave for our children and grand children a proud memory and great legacy. They take away our options to acquire what we need to survive and to provide for our children the way we want and need to. The jails, another freedom snatcher, is filled with our men and now our women are adding to the count every day, why, because for the majority the lack of jobs or opportunities. If we would just take off the blind folds and see what is happening around us and make the positive move to help improve this handicap, we would be able to see a healthy and wealthy future for ourselves and our children. We can change our situation for the better. Every other nationality has formed a unity that has created for them solid resources that keeps them and children in what they need without having to depend on the system. Their teens don’t have to worry about summer jobs, they are already provided. No one is going to do it for us; we must do it for ourselves. Within our culture we have many talents and much knowledge to do anything we put our minds to. Can you imagine how much we can do to change our situation and become an asset to our Black Communities and the World? We can clear out the juvenile correction systems, jails; reduce the welfare and unemployment lines and the court rooms. Given our God given talents and knowledge, the sky is the limit to what we can accomplish in Unity. Why Unity, because United we stand, divided look where we are, LOOK WHERE WE ARE. Can you imagine seeing the pride in the faces of your children when you are teaching them how to be responsible, how to be self sufficient and how to save money so that they too are financially stable? Not having to depend on the system for their survival, not having to be looking over their shoulder for the police or running from them because of some crime they may have committed. We know we can do it. Why don’t we just do it? We can do anything we put our minds to. IT’S ALL UP TO US! Being self sufficient is very, very, important and necessary.
