An excerpt from "Dare To Dream" (Things I've Been Meaning To Say, 2014) - This was the opening piece in my first book. I remember crying when holding the proof copy. I couldn't stop thinking about how God, despite all that I had and hadn't done, allowed me to achieve a goal that I had since I was a little girl. Admittedly, this is the first time I've read this piece in years. And with everything God is doing in my life now, it's appropriate.

May you have the confidence to know that you have a purpose for every God-ordained room you are in. 🌻

Thank you to the Ladies of the Lambda Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc () for extending the invitation to perform spoken word for 's 2022 Cluster VIII Retreat. An added bonus was being able to see some of the women in my "tribe" while debuting the piece "The Tribe". It was a beautiful event, and I truly enjoyed spending the afternoon with you all. 🌻🧡
