Data centers continue to be one of the most discussed topics in Cheyenne and Laramie County, with ongoing conversations around water, energy, infrastructure, growth, public process, and long-term community impacts.

In this recent interview, Cheyenne LEADS CEO Betsy Hail discusses the recent moratorium vote, community concerns, infrastructure planning, transparency, and the importance of continued public involvement as these conversations move forward.

We encourage residents to watch the conversation, stay informed, ask questions, and continue participating in the public process.

Cheyenne LEADS recently submitted Project Cosmo & The High Plains Business Park for consideration in the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Excellence Awards program.

The IEDC Excellence Awards recognize impactful economic development projects and partnerships from communities across the country.

The High Plains Business Park is a planned 1,100-acre business park in Cheyenne designed to support long-term economic growth and future development opportunities in Laramie County.

As part of this project, major infrastructure improvements were completed within the business park, including:
✔️ A new 4.5-mile roadway
✔️ Water and sewer infrastructure
✔️ A new US Highway 85 traffic signal
✔️ 246 construction jobs created during development

Cheyenne LEADS coordinated the planning, approvals, easements, and construction administration necessary to help deliver the project infrastructure.

The infrastructure investment also helps prepare additional surrounding acreage for future mixed-use development opportunities, including potential jobs, housing, and private investment in our region.

We’re grateful to the contractors, agencies, landowners, and project partners who helped make this work possible.
