Description: One has to experience Laughter Yoga to really understand what it is - and practice it regularly to let it lighten your life! Laughter yoga turns laughter on it's head, using deliberate laughter as exercise at first, which inevitably becomes a gateway to spontaneous laughter. Things get truly funny, with no jokes or humor. That's the laughter exercise part. The yoga part is the deep and prolonged breathwork, pranayama, that's a result of a good, long laugh. We also end sessions with relaxation and quiet meditation, savasana. When we laugh, feel-good neurochemicals flow, immunity is heightened, blood pressure is lowered, and we feel more connected to each other.

Leigh Meredith is a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher through Laughter Yoga International. She started practicing laughter yoga 15 years ago to bring more peace and levity to her life.
