May is Mental Awareness Month! Not only does the climate crisis affect our planet and physical health, but it can also have deep impacts on our mental health. Whether you’re directly living through a climate-induced natural disaster or seeing dire climate reports on your new feed all day everyday, there are psychological impacts. These impacts can range from increased day-to-day stress to clinical diagnoses of anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder.

Mitigating the impacts of climate change includes learning how to take care of our mental health in an ever changing world. Follow and be on the lookout for a part two on this topic with more coping strategies and additional resources.

Happy Earth Day from Our World! 🌱🌍💚 While we should treat everyday like it’s Earth Day, today can be a moment to slow down, reflect on the beauty and life our planet gives us, and allow that awe to impact our decisions.

Whether you walk or bike to work instead of drive, decide to not buy a coffee in a single-use plastic cup, eat a vegetarian diet, or spend some time educating yourself on the climate crisis, do a little something extra today to show your care for the Earth.

Together we can protect the Earth and ensure it’s a safe and sustainable place for generations to come. Let’s take care of Our World 🌍
