Zachary Way

The days are getting shorter and the nights a but colder, I am not ready for winter, so have a look at this photo I took back in the summer!
Some background on this, we had gone out to take photos for a class project (for her, I do not remember exactly what the project was on other then she had to be dressed somewhat as a princess would have been from the time period that her project was coming from, anddddd this also gave us some time to get some dressed up formal pictures.) Anyways considering we are nailing a school project, getting her some portraits, and building a client base for me, I consider that a wi!n win! win!

There are many people I have worked on projects with that have been short term goals. A portrait session, a one-day event, even critiquing video projects over weeks, are all some of the short term projects that I love shooting; but none compare to some of the longer-lasting sessions that go for years.

For years I have been working with my old highschool's cheer team, shooting their practices, football games, and even going all the way to state championships where they have brought home trophies and trips to Disney to compete. I'll keep my story about this team very short but seeing as how I was not part of a team sport in high school and instead just taking photos of them as an awkward third wheel, I found myself engulfing my time with this team sharing in their laughs and heartaches in a way that no one can experience from a sidle line, but actively involving myself in the group huddles while also making sure that this group looks good on their social media while having fun the entire time. this group has felt like a family away from my family which is why I take so much comfort and love when working with them. I thank them for allowing me to be apart of their memories and hope to continue doing what I love with this team
