In 1995, my friend began DJ’ing while he was stationed in Italy. During a chance encounter after one of his sets, a friend suggested that they introduce Freez to one of their friends. Wouldn’t you know it, they took him to meet the world-renowned legendary House music DJ Louie Vega.

Over the next 25+ years, FREEZ would become one of the most sought-after house music DJs; dreaming of one day opening for Louie Vega.

27 years in the making for this one moment…turning over the turntables to his idol because he’d just lived his dream. He’d just opened for .

Hello.

What a seven weeks!
✔️ A 5 day COVID hospitalization
✔️ COVID pneumonia in both lungs that severely compromised my ability to breath.
✔️ The death of my Uncle John.
✔️ The death of my step-father.
✔️ Planning my step-father’s funeral in another city & state, while dealing with a toxic step-sibling.
✔️ Handling all the legal responsibilities that come with someone’s death.
✔️ Supporting my mother in this new season of her life.
✔️ Patiently tending to the needs of MY body.

Thank you to each and every person who reached out in some capacity. There was a point when I couldn’t answer texts or return calls.

Honestly I just didn’t have the capacity to answer.

I believe God sat my a$$ down because he was preparing me for my step-father’s transition and all that would mean for my mom, sister and I. My path was cleared in ways I couldn’t have planned it if I tried. No work. No traveling. No meetings.

Time to heal and begin OUR next season.
