Year 1: .rowland and got pinned down by a fierce 3-day storm before retreating. Year 2: the three of us hiked back and promptly got hammered by pitch-2 due to hard climbing and no gear. Year 3: the big dawgs ( and ) joined us and swashbuckled the hard-hard until we got up to pitch-7…. The midpoint and final stop after two weeks of trying hard AF, dodging hail and lightning, and generally being beaten down on the daily. 🍻 to fresh grilled trout courtesy and all round good vibes from a strong ass team.

Alligators, bald eagles, wild turkeys, copperheads, egrets, fox, and 74,000 very hungry mosquitos….
A solid trip down to Francis Marion National Forest! If you’re going to backpack in the area, I highly recommend some bug spray this time of year and a couple of kayaks. Navigating the waterways is one of the coolest ways to take it all in… maybe just don’t fall in because we shared space with a 6’ alligator to make this photo.
