It is our responsibility to keep you
informed about your turfgrass and taking care of this
investment. With that in mind, one harmful winter
predator in fescue lawns is Poa Annua, aka Annual
Bluegrass. It looks similar to turfgrass, but will
develop a seed head loaded with thousands of white
seeds. It shows up in the fall and can last through
May. If not treated, it crowds out your turfgrass and
will leave bare or thin spots in the spring when it
dies.
