I wanted to “stick it to the man” and just not go fellowship and be on my own with God. The problem was, at the time, I wasn’t even talking to God for myself so maybe it was about friendship over religon huh? So I had one shirt and it was dope people loved it, not knowing its origin. In shame, I stopped wearing it and started talking to God again. The more conversations we had, the more I realized
maybe we have been too reliant on a pulpit and not enough on hearing him for ourselves. Church was designed to be a great place to gather and worship together, but not THE source as it pertains to YOUR relationship with God. So my perspective on my shirt changed and I started wearing it again and a funny thing happened, people want them. So here we are with this somewhat fluke of an idea that will birth a movement and change a generation. It is my hope that by encouraging people to refocus on God will in turn, strengthen local ministries. You can teach what you may not know, and knowing God in my eyes, is very important. #RelationshipOverReligon
