Lucas Vera Racing #64

Round 1 of Cookout summer shootout at charlotte motor speedway was definitely a race to say the least. I qualified 4th in a tough 27 car field. Later on they drew the invert which was a four, putting me on the pole. I ran away with the lead for almost the whole race. But on the last lap i was moved out of the way by the 2nd place car, which allowed 2nd and 3rd place to get around me. Leaving me to finish 3rd on the first night.

Round 2 was just as challenging. I qualified 3rd, and started 3rd in the race. On the first lap i was spun running in 3rd. I had to go to the back and made my way up to 12th when the trailing arm bolt broke, ultimately ending my night.

We will be back and stronger for round 3 next week!
