Had a blast sight fishing large blacktips on the fly with Ambassador Capt.Tucker Blythe of Grey Ghost Charters. Cool eats, fast runs and jumps... Can't ask for much more from a fish on the fly

New post (Spring has sprung) has been published on Grey Ghost Charters - Charleston, SC
Spring has sprung It has been awhile since my last report. February and March were filled with rainy and windy days. This limited our good opportunities for the redfishing on the flats. We did have some great days in the mix with flies and lures. Shad fishing this season was on fire. We have stocked up plenty of these oily fish for our upcoming shark season. Lately the weather has been great with temperatures in the 70-80’s. Water temp has reached 70 in most inshore areas and nearshore will not be far behind. We anticipate the cobia will begin they’re migration off our coast any day. The red fishing has been better and better each day. They have been cooperative in creeks, flats, and on structure spots. Live bait, lures, and flies have been productive. The trout bite has really started to heat up. April and May will bring some of the largest trout of the year. The sheepshead bite has been excellent ...

New post (June Fishing Report) has been published on Grey Ghost Charters - Charleston, SC
June Fishing Report
June has been a great month for Grey Ghost Charters. The fishing has been red hot with Redfish, Trout, Spanish, Ladyfish, and Sharks. We have done some experimenting with sharks on the Fly which is great fun. 20-40 # fish on Fly. The redfish have been up in the grass tailing on the extreme high tides and slurping shrimp during early morning low tides. Trout have been strong near inlets and along the beachfronts. Spanish have been around the Jetties, tidelines, and on some days in the Harbor. Tarpon will be on our radar into the next few months. Hope to see you on the water. Tight Lines!
