❄️ Holiday Travel Tip for Property Owners: Don’t Forget to Winterize ❄️

If you’re traveling for the holidays and leaving a property vacant — even for just a few days — a little winter prep can prevent very expensive surprises.

Here’s a quick Winterization Checklist to protect your home while you’re away:

✅ Set thermostats to at least 55–60°F (even if the home is empty)
✅ Shut off exterior hose bibs and disconnect hoses
✅ Check for drafts around doors/windows and seal if needed
✅ Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate
✅ Inspect exposed pipes in basements, crawlspaces, or garages
✅ Test smoke & carbon monoxide detectors
✅ Arrange for mail/packages to be held or picked up
✅ Have someone check the property after extreme cold snaps
