Last month, Student Government challenged Middle Grades advisories to create posters focused on mental health and wellness. Advisory students also designed stickers to promote awareness and encourage positive conversations around mental health.🧠💚

Throughout the month, students spent time in Advisory exploring strategies to support their mental health and well-being, especially during times of stress, anxiety, or sadness. Discussions and activities focused on topics such as social anxiety, healthy eating🍎, healthy sleeping habits💤, bullying prevention 🚫, understanding feelings of anxiety and depression💭, and ways to improve overall mental wellness.

Through these projects, students learned the importance of self-care, seeking support, and creating a community where everyone feels seen, heard, valued, and supported.🫶

Alumni Spotlight⚡

We’re celebrating LC alum, Cullen Gamache '22, who graduated this year as Valedictorian of PCTA!🎓

When Cullen was at The Learning Community, his creativity and determination were already shining through. In sixth grade, he wrote several chapters of a novel during writing workshop, and it’s been inspiring to watch him continue discovering and developing his strengths ever since.✍️

At PCTA, Cullen thrived in the Pre-Engineering program while also pursuing his passions for ballet and creative photography. This fall, he’ll attend Wentworth Institute of Technology to study Mechanical Engineering.⚙️

Cullen’s journey reflects what we strive for at The LC: empowering young people to know themselves, pursue their passions, and develop the confidence to lead authentically. We are proud to see him using his talents to chart his own path and becoming the kind of thoughtful, purpose-driven leader our world needs. Congrats Cullen and go lightning!💫 (Source: )
