To plan an adventure for your loved ones here’s some tips. Search for scenic views at mountain campsites on my free recreation maps, like this dispersed camping spot near Allenspark, CO off Hwy 72 near mile marker 17 (see video link).

Perseid meteor showers just began in mid-July. See table for “dark sky” dates; peak meteor shower dates/times: July 29-30 at 10 pm and 2-4 am; Aug 12-13 at 3-5 am. Have fun and be safe!

We spent last week on top of the Grand Mesa and at the Maroon Bells to beat the heat, hike several trails, and relax. It was a nice week with Mary Vanderslice
