I am Black history. Crazy, sexy, cool. All parts of me are proudly, uniquely, and unapologetically black. I am the last born child to married parents, and I am just one generation removed from segregation. My mother obtained three degrees (including a juris doctorate) while raising a family and working full time. My father was an entrepreneur who owned several successful businesses. And I am a mixture of both. I hold a Masters degree which I also obtained while working full time@and raising a family. I also have started two successful businesses. Join me in celebrating Black history month, although it’s Black History Everyday for me.

The holidays can magnify the feeling of isolation, hopelessness, and depression for many people. Change in location, job, or relationship status; the loss of a loved one; a new health diagnosis.
