Hey everyone, welcome to 1st Due Company. My name is Brooks Browning. Not too long ago, I was inspired by a friend who launched a mental health–driven brand for athletes called Vencer Company. As a former athlete and now a firefighter, I quickly realized how many similarities exist between the athletic and first responder communities, especially when it comes to the stigma surrounding mental health.

As first responders we are expected to be strong, perform under pressure, and show up no matter what. While the job demands toughness, it doesn’t mean we don’t struggle. It doesn’t mean we don’t need support.

I created 1st Due Co. with one goal: to break the stigma and raise awareness for first responder mental health. Apparel became the perfect starting point because every piece can spark a conversation, remind someone they’re not alone, and spread our message.

A portion of every purchase will be donated to nonprofits supporting first responder mental health. I believe the real impact will come from wearing our message.
