May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

This is your reminder that mental health is not optional—it impacts how you think, feel, behave, and cope with life.
You don’t have to be in crisis to take it seriously.
You don’t have to wait until things fall apart to start paying attention.
This month, focus on:
✔ Being more honest with yourself
✔ Not avoiding what’s uncomfortable
✔ Reaching out instead of isolating
You’re allowed to struggle. You’re also responsible for doing something about it.

💭 May 4 – “I’m Fine” Isn’t Always Fine
A lot of people say “I’m fine” because it’s easier than explaining what’s actually going on.
Functioning doesn’t equal healthy.
You can go to work, take care of others, and still be mentally exhausted.
Pay attention to:
– Irritability
– Emotional numbness
– Constant overthinking
– Avoidance
Those are signs something needs attention—not something to push through.

Stop Minimizing
“If it was that bad, I’d be worse.”
That mindset keeps people stuck.
Minimizing your experience doesn’t make you stronger—it keeps you from getting help.
If it’s impacting your sleep, mood, relationships, or ability to cope…
It matters.

💙 Community Spotlight & Gratitude 💙

We want to take a moment to thank PrairieWifeInHeels.com for using her platform to share honest, important information about alcohol addiction.

So many people struggle quietly. As she shared, more than 90% of individuals battling alcoholism don’t believe they need treatment. That denial isn’t weakness, it’s part of the disease. Posts like this help break stigma, increase awareness, and open the door to real conversations.

Recognizing the signs early can change the entire trajectory of someone’s life and their family’s life.

At Wyoming Recovery, we believe education saves lives. We are grateful for community members who are willing to speak up and shine light on difficult topics.

Because we recover together and we spread awareness together as a community.

If you or someone you love is struggling, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Our case managers are available to provide confidential, no-cost evaluations and support.
