1967 Pontiac GTO Hurst Dual Gate - "His n' Hers" Shifter -
Restored Original

This is a vintage original (not reproduction) 1967 Pontiac-Hurst GTO, Lemans, Tempest dual-gate shifter for car with the 3 speed automatic transmissions. It is in exceptional condition and has been professionally rebuilt to Hurst factory specifications. This was originally described by George Hurst as the "His n' Hers" shifter. The key feature is the second shift gate that can be opened to manually shift the gears. Today it's mostly referred to as a Dual Gate shifter. Both the original chrome shift lever and gate cover have bright chrome with only a few imperfections. We have installed a brand new chrome shift bezel, wood grain insert, gear select lens, neutral safety switch, and black k**b. The shift mechanism was cleaned, lubricated, and aligned. Then rebuilt with the best in new and original parts. Since this a factory correct, made in America, shifter it will give you years of superior performance. $600 plus shipping. GTO Goodies. 307 215-6401. Visa & Mastercard. Money back guarantee. Nationwide shipping. Gary Wren

We've been working on this rechromed 1965-66 Pontiac GTO Four Speed Console. Most of the GTOs came with a console, but some had bucket seats and no console. However, those of us who were 19 years old in 1966 had to have a console in the car, or not be cool. Girl friends sat on the console, next to the driver. So Anna "wore out" my original console by the end of 1966. Serves her right to have to restore the console lids now days. She even reflocks the inside console boxes. That's the same box she used for icing down drinks at the drive-in movies. It is very nice to see one of those original console restored as good as new. Its ready for someone's new girl friend.
