10 slides. 10 versions of me. Same woman. 😂
1. The bixie cut.
2. The dress.
3. The panelist, event chair, and Sierra Leone representative.
4. Another photo of the bixie because let’s be honest… the bangs were the main character.
5. Lunch with my forever boo.
6. ChatGPT art because apparently I collect hobbies now.
7. Our first public Perfume & PJs.
8. Taking my girls to tennis for the first time and having one of those full-circle parenting moments.
9. More AI-generated art because one slide clearly wasn’t enough.
10. Me reaching peak motherhood by using Claude to build 8-week summer lesson plans and printing packets for my kids channeling my inner Mariama Bayon. 😭🙌🏾
A few years ago, I thought balance meant doing less.
Now I think balance looks more like making room for all the versions of yourself.
The woman building a career.
The woman building community.
The woman building a marriage.
The woman building memories with her children.
The woman who still makes time to play, create, learn, and try something new.
No perfect theme. No carefully curated aesthetic.
Just a life that feels full.
And honestly, that’s my favorite kind of success. ❤️
When it’s time for more than skincare… sometimes it’s about realizing your routine can only take you so far ✨
Over the last 6ish months, I’ve been extremely intentional about my skin after dealing with an eczema flare up. I focused on rebuilding my skin barrier, learning my triggers, and staying consistent with my routine.
So when Caroline from Lyfe Aesthetics & MedSpa saw my skin just from being around me, she immediately knew the direction I needed to go in and invited me in for my first microneedling + CO2 mask experience.
Honestly, I didn’t think a treatment like this was an option for me because my skin can be so sensitive. But I also knew that if I wanted results beyond what even a really good multi-step routine can do, eventually I’d have to explore professional treatments too.
And I’m so glad I did ✨
The experience was calming, educational, and way less intimidating than I expected. My skin felt refreshed, hydrated, and glowing afterward.
Sometimes skincare is more than products. Sometimes it’s having someone who understands skin help guide you to the next level of care 💛
April 18th was everything. Watching this back and I’m emotional all over again — the energy in that room was something special. Good people, real conversations, and a community that showed up beautifully.
I wrote Stop–Start–Continue in the quiet moments between everything else. I didn’t know if it would land. That afternoon told me it did.
To everyone who came out — thank you. 🙏🏾✨
And if you’re just finding me — hi, I’m Amie. I write about the gap between how we were raised and how we’re choosing to raise our kids. The book is live and the link is in my bio. 📖
Drop a ❤️ if this kind of community is what you’ve been looking for.
