Updated pic of Priscilla’s litter! They’re growing so fast, only 3 weeks old! Though I seem to be missing one, so I’m terribly confused… but look what genes snuck into my herd — CHOCOLATE!!

Dear chickens… eggs should be laid IN the nesting boxes… NOT on the walkway to the front porch… 😂😂
I had my bee class this morning, and we did hive inspections on 9 hives. It wasn’t that scary, so I was totally motivated to get home and inspect mine. 🐝 My ladies were much calmer today and the inspection was a breeze! I’ve been worried that maybe I killed the queen during the installation, but I’m 90% sure I saw lots of new brood in there… otherwise I just saw the sun glinting in the nectar. But I’m crossing my fingers that it was new brood and my queen is safe and sound. I definitely saw other larvae in older stages. Now that I know they won’t be as spicy as when I installed them, I’ll make sure to video next weekend’s inspection…
