Bonny Grant I'd forgotten about this, until it popped up in my memories this morning! 2013 seems like a different life time!

This quilt was made with a friend of mine and we gifted it to one of our favorite places. I'd forgotten about it until it popped up in my Facebook Memories this morning. In 2013, we gifted it to Cottage in the Woods.

I was thinking about photo storage this morning for a job I'm currently working at and I don't know why but I remembered having a photobucket account, a life time ago with quilt photo. It took some digging to find it, but here it is. Now you can see more photos from the past.

It's been a long time since I've done any work. Life has just moved past this. A friends father passed this spring. He asked me to do a memory quilt for him and each of his siblings.

One is cut out!

I have a new little niece. The other day going through a box in a closet, I found some quilt squares I had done ages ago. They seem perfect for a quilt for her. Here are some pix.

A family friend and former student sent me this photo the other day of her little one, wrapped in a quilt that I had made for her when she was in high school. So awesome to see the treasures!

One of my students just finished this project. It's taken her three years, but her diligence and persistence paid off! It's amazingly beautiful!!

Recently came across this picture of a quilt I did ages ago. Thought I'd share it in the opes of inspiring others!

If there is any interest I would like to offer my Beginning Sewing/Quilting class beginning in January 2014. I taught this class for the first time in 2007. It’s been a couple of years since I did the last one.

We will use the kit from For Small Hands: http://www.forsmallhands.com/sewing-weaving/my-first-doll-book.

We will read and talk about the story, The Patchwork Quilt by Valerie Flourney.
Then we will make a small (6” square) patchwork quilt in the style of their choosing from fabric scraps.

The course will touch on the idea of recycling/repurposing old clothes and fabric into new and useful items.

The class will meet either on Wednesday or Thursday evenings at my home in Camden. Space is limited. The course will cost $20/family plus supplies. Students should be 8+ years old. (I have worked with students as young as 4 but this requires a small group, one or one, or parental assistance.) All children must be accompanied by an adult. The quilt will run approximately six weeks, depending on how quickly students progress through the projects.

If you are interested or would like to know more, or to sign up please email me at [email protected]. If you’d like to see some of my work please visit Patchwork Cottage Shoppe on Facebook or check out photos at http://s279.photobucket.com/user/patchworkcottage/library/?sort=3&page=1

I just received five large bags of fabric ... not sure if this means I'll be quilting, teaching quilting or doing something else ... but there it is, just like the old days!
