Ginger girl. What a proud mama.

Ginger Day 12 …good mama keeping her eggies warm. She sadly lost 2 eggs this week to being crushed with developing chics inside. Her covey keeps stomping around in there to lay their eggs. I have to remove them daily so her nest doesn’t get overrun. The last time she tried hatching she was sitting on about 20 eggs. All partially developed but didn’t make it as she couldn’t keep them all consistently warm. I try to manage the numbers now.

Ginger gets so much happiness from being a mama. Shes an old girl, but will hatch anything I give her when she goes broody.
