Use this helpful graphic organizer to guide your students' note-taking! These visual graphic notes include two different versions (open or guided notes w/ key) as well as several examples of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. Please note- these graphic notes include the three types of rock and their characteristics ONLY! The Rock Cycle will be covered in a separate product and the two will ultimately be bundled together.

Did you know that there is a real person behind this strangely-named science curriculum resource business? Well, there is! Hi! I'm Sarah. I was a middle school science teacher for five years. I recently left the classroom after becoming a parent and I now work in corporate learning & development as well as EdTech. This technically makes running Strankles my third job, which sounds kind of crazy. But that's the thing- I still love the middle school science curriculum so much that I refuse to give it up. Strankles Science is my passion project on the side where I still get to indulge the "science teacher" identity that remains within me (though admittedly with a lot less panic attacks and homophobic parents to deal with). So hello! Thanks for stopping by and I hope my resources can be of some assistance to you and your science classroom.
