Preparing for my “Seeing in the dark” event next week, my co-writer is keeping a close eye on the content and pitching in at the right time every time 🐾

A year ago at this time a powerful experience with this incredible person took place and I cherish her and our connection to this day. Have you ever had a dream that will not let you rest until you act on it? Until you make it happen? And what were you willing to challenge, accept, invest in, or change in your life to make serious room for it?

This person came to the studio with this type of dream and asked me to guide her through bringing it to life on canvas. Some 12 weeks later she finally took it home.

It is the biggest project I’ve held space for since I’ve started teaching independently. The fact that the collaboration ended today is a bittersweet moment.

While I had the tools and the processes to lead the journey through the layers of her incredible story and vision, she showed me what true commitment looks like when a big dream “has you”. She came back week after week with a passion, resilience, and willingness to dig in deep the likes of which I rarely see. Not just about painting. About what the dream means to her and what she’s willing to do to bring more of it alive in her own life.

Her bravery on canvas mirrors who she is in life. She is someone who chooses to live the dream for real, to say a big bold huge YES to it through it all, and boy do we know it’s not easy. I can honestly say that I am deeply changed by this experience.

While this picture is used with permission, I am not sharing any more of her work here. That is her own story to tell. I am simply yet genuinely honoring the beautiful human she is and the commitment to her own dream that is inspiring me to keep braver eyes and hands on my own.
