You may not realize it, but our local municipal shelters (particularly in the Southern United States) are *still* routinely breaking up dog and c**k fighting rings. This isn't a "problem of the past" and it certainly didn't end with the "Vicktory Dogs" of the early 2000s, unfortunately. While not every home is equipped to foster a dog rescued from a fighting ring, fostering a dog *in general* opens up space for shelters to step in during crisis situations. So, in essence, you are still supporting the dismantling of a fighting ring. MAS Bully Rescue has stood at the ready in varied capacities over the years, from welcoming dogs directly from the ring to taking in pregnant mamas to supporting shelters by taking other dogs instead to clear up space (like our recent additions Valor and Della Mae from our partners at Grimes County!).

Throughout the entire month of June, MAS Bully Rescue is partnering with Best Friends Animal Society with the goal of increasing our foster roster through expanded programming and volunteer opportunities. We are excited to take the pledge with BFAS, and we're hopeful to foster more animals, together!
