I heard this morning that some people have received a phone call informing them that they missed a court date in the 472nd District Court and will be held in contempt.

They were told they were sent a summons for US vs. Rekia Jackson with a case number.

THIS IS A SCAM!!

You will never be informed via a phone call that you are being held in contempt. The Court only communicates in writing.

My ‘ride-or-die’ daughter was out with me again this morning on the campaign trail! We stopped at Jesse’s Taqueria to drop off more flyers (and for the best breakfast taco in B/CS!), then we were off to meet residents, hand out campaign literature and put yard signs up around town!

Now we’re back home to regroup and get ready for the League of Women Voters event at Ringer Library today at 2pm!
