Sometimes you just need to take a day off and make some memories.

Today, Jax and I headed down to Dayton, Ohio for the Dayton Air Show and to watch the Blue Angels perform. Since it was just the two of us, I surprised him with a ride in a UH-1 Huey before the show started.

The sound, the smell, and the feeling of flying in a military helicopter brought back a lot of memories from my time in the Army. While I spent my days jumping out of Blackhawks with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, being back in a military aircraft reminded me of a chapter of life I’ll never forget.

Watching Jax experience it all for the first time made it even better. Sometimes the best investment you can make is taking a day away from work and spending it with your kids.

Now it’s time for the Blue Angels! ✈️🇺🇸
