Spring is in full bloom 🌼

Daffodils and crocuses herald the season,
with tulips and the native plants we also sowed back in October close behind

Fifteen of us collectively stewarded these tree beds on City of Forest Day last year —
and now the land smiles back.

Grateful to everyone who showed up to tend this space alongside Sunshine Community Garden,
and to our event partners who helped make it possible.

Herbal water cleansing ~ a practice rooted in lived tradition, working with plant allies in a herbal bath or shower rinse, allowing water, flowers, and minerals to gently cleanse and renew.

While time moves in cycles shaped by land and sky, this shared moment within the collective calendar can feel like a soft threshold for reflection and release.

Plant allies and elements used:
• Rosemary for cleansing and mental clarity
• Basil for prosperity and blessings
• Rose petals for love and emotional balance
• Palo Santo for grounding and clearing
• White copal for prayer and purification
• Salt for protection

Agua Florida was included, infused with prayer and icaros from past plant dietas.

When showering, the herbal water is poured over the body at the end, after washing as usual, as a final cleansing rinse, offered with intention.
