it’s hard to feel divided from the ones we love➗

everything is finite and our 2-week soho pop-up is no different, as it reaches its inevitable end today. it’s been beyond gratifying to witness these cards become a part of people’s lives, and I wanted to mention a few that stood out:

💌 a girl who fled her war-torn homeland to spend 48 hours with her friends in New York,

💌 a father whose eyes lit up as he explained to his two kids why their mother was array of sunshine,

💌 a young guy who rushed back to exchange a different card for his girlfriend starting her medical residency, saying “I think she’ll like this one better,”

💌 a farmer who described daydreaming about fractals during the long summer shifts,

💌 a group of girls looking for cards to cheer up their sick friend,

and too many more to count. I’ll be honest, I don’t remember when it was that I personally decided on math as a means to express emotion, but after having witnessed these stories over the past two weeks I feel more gratified than ever about its ability to connect all walks of life.

is there a difference between love and paying attention? because hearing “I know someone who will laugh at this” is enough proof for me that they’re one and the same.

is this a hyperbola? is it a party popper? 🎉 are we exaggerating? are we being hyperbolic!? aaaah!
