🌞 It’s hot in NYC 🗽, and even your cacti need to stay hydrated.
On summer days, we take all of our arid plants down and give them a good soaking. Succulents and cacti are drought-tolerant, but they also grow stronger when they receive plenty of water during periods of intense sun and heat.
If you have arid plants outdoors or in a sunny window, don’t forget to water them on these hot days. 🌵💧☀️
Join us for a Cactus Grafting Workshop on June 4th at 7pm, taught by the 🔪🌵
Grafting is one of the strangest and most rewarding techniques in cactus growing. Grafting combines two cacti into one plant to encourage faster growth, earlier flowering, and stronger support for rare or delicate varieties.
Members of the New York Cactus and Succulent Society will guide guests through the grafting process step-by-step while participants create their own grafted plant to take home. Tickets include a rootstock(base cactus), scion(top cactus), a terracotta planter, a Niwaki knife, and drinks throughout the evening!
