PRESS RELEASE
Celestial Church of Christ
Juvenile Harvest 2026
A Call to Preserve Godly Heritage and Sanctity of the Childrenโs Ministry
Date: May 29, 2026
The Office of the Coordinator General, Taskforce South-South/South-East Region, hereby announces the forthcoming Juvenile Harvest Celebration of the Celestial Church of Christ scheduled to hold on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, across all Parishes of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide i.e (within the South-South and South-East Regions of Nigeria.)
The Juvenile Harvest is a sacred and highly significant celebration dedicated to honoring, encouraging, and showcasing the spiritual growth, godly heritage, and divine potential of the children in the Celestial Church of Christ. It is a day specially set aside for the children to fully officiate church activities under proper spiritual guidance and supervision.
This holy occasion is meant to nurture the children in righteousness, discipline, humility, and the fear of God while allowing them to actively participate in the work of God from an early age.
However, it has come to the notice of the Regional Taskforce that some Parishes and parents have continued the unacceptable practice of dressing children in adult garments, girdles, and unauthorized spiritual ranks or regalia during Juvenile Harvest celebrations.
The Taskforce wishes to clearly state that this practice is improper, spiritually unhealthy, and completely against the true purpose and sanctity of the Juvenile Harvest.
Children are to be celebrated as children and guided according to their age, innocence, and spiritual development. The imposition of adult appearances, ranks, or spiritual identities on minors is strongly condemned and will no longer be tolerated within the South-South and South-East Regions.
Therefore, all Shepherds, Parish Leaders, parents, workers, and members are hereby directed to strictly comply with the following:
1. No child should wear girdles or any adult spiritual garment.
2. No child should be adorned with unauthorized adult ranks or titles.
3. All Juvenile Harvest activities must reflect modesty, godliness, discipline, and true Celestial heritage.
4. Parish leadership must ensure proper supervision and compliance throughout the celebration.
The Taskforce will closely monitor activities across Parishes, and any Parish found violating these directives shall face appropriate disciplinary measures in accordance with church regulations.
We urge all members to cooperate fully in preserving the sanctity, dignity, and spiritual purpose of the Juvenile Harvest.
Let us raise children who truly reflect Christ in character, conduct, and spiritual upbringing.
May God bless the Celestial Church of Christ worldwide.
Signed:
Officer Femi Eromosele Gabriel Obinyan
